Budget and Finance
Each year the municipality is responsible for determining the cost of providing services to its residents by preparing an annual budget. The budget is a gathering of estimated revenues and expenditures that serves as a guide to Council and Staff to provide services in an effective and efficient manner. The difference between budgeted revenues and expenditures is balanced by tax dollars. The budget process determines the annual tax rate for the municipality.
