Animal Control

Information

Residents of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen are permitted up to 3 dogs, and 3 cats per household. Residents are to register their animals with the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen where they will obtain registered animal tags per pet. Residents that have registered their pets will receive invoicing at the beginning of each year to renew the licenses/tags. Residents will have from January to April to make payment for their invoices before a late fee is applied.

$100.00 (for a new kennel application, an inspection fee must be paid prior to any inspection taking place. Once the kennel application has been approved the kennel license must be paid. Annual renewal inspections are covered in the annual renewal kennel fee)

Low Cost Rabies Clinic

Low cost rabies clinics are offered through Peterborough Public Health. For a list of fees and locations please visit the Peterborough Public Health website.

Peterborough Humane Society

Any impounded animals may be kept at the Peterborough Humane Society.
