The Municipal Office is Closed Due to Inclement Weather Conditions - Thursday January 15, 2026  

Due to inclement weather and unsafe driving conditions, the Municipal Office has been closed.

The closure is in the interest of public and staff safety. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel.

Municipal staff members may be reached by email today during regular office hours.  

If you require emergency assistance regarding your water service, please call: 705-926-0184

Curbside Garbage Collection is cancelled, and residents can double up next weeks collection. 

Should your recycling not be collected by 5:00pm, please remove from curb until next week.

Winter Road Conditions - Thursday January 15, 2026 

HBM Public Works staff are busy plowing and maintaining the roads for your safety. 

Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is advising motorists, pedestrians and residents to use extra caution as the municipality provides winter maintenance activities due to the heavy snowfall. 

We are experiencing some vehicle breakdowns and that it may take snow removal crews longer than usual to bring the roads and sidewalks back to a state of clear passage. Public safety is the Township’s top priority. 
Your patience is greatly appreciated. Should you need to be on the road, please use extreme caution and keep your distance behind snowplows and sanders (do not pass).
