Reconstruction of County Road 48 (George Street East) is soon coming to an end for the 2025 construction season! 

Reconstruction on George Street East will be ending just east of the Oak Street intersection and the Reconstruction of Quebec Street will soon begin, starting at Hwy 7 (Ottawa Street) moving northward toward George Street East. 

Currently, the existing Sanitary main pipe flow direction could create sewer back-ups (example: toilets, sinks, drains) for residents and businesses located on Quebec Street and the remaining portion of George Street East.  The reconstruction of the existing sanitary main on Quebec Street, will reverse the direction of the flow (see included images), stopping any possible sewer back-ups from occurring.
