Due to extremely dry weather conditions, all open-air burning is strictly prohibited within the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen until further notice.

OCWA Drinking Water Update – August 15, 2025

Ontario Clean Water Agency has advised that due to decreasing aquifer levels the standby Well #3 will be placed into operation alongside the Duty Well 1& 4 Drinking Water Facility to take some pressure off the aquifer levels in an effort to prevent an extremely low or no water situation.

Water may appear slightly discoloured due to the naturally occurring iron and manganese found in the raw water characteristics of Well #3.

The water is safe to drink and poses no health and safety risk to the public.
