Canada Post Interruption & Bill Payment

Due to the Canada Post labour disruption, The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen will not be sending any mail, including notices and bills. Residents and vendors of the Township who have received invoices or tax bills are still required to pay their bills on time, despite the postal disruption.

Utility and Property Tax Payments

Payments can be made via online banking (please allow 3-4 business days for us to receive your payment in office), by debit, cash or cheque during regular business hours, via credit card through Paymentus on hbmtwp.ca website, or cheques can be left in the drop box outside the Municipal Office at 1 Ottawa Street East, Havelock.

Planning Notices 

Planning notices will continue to be posted online, and a physical sign will still be posted on the subject property. If you have any questions, please contact the Planning Department at 705-778-2308 ext. 777 or by email at planning@hbmtwp.ca.

Mathison Trail – Newton Avenue Entrance Closure – Start Date: September 9, 2025


Due to Hydro One Transmission Refurbishment Project the entrance to Mathison Trail on Newton Avenue will be closed Monday to Thursday and will reopen Friday to Sunday, until further notice. 

During this time, please use entrance located behind the HBM Community Centre at: 39 George Street East, Havelock, ON.
