Discover the beauty of the Mathison Conservation Area — located just behind the HBM Community Centre in Havelock!  The HBM Community Centre is located at 39 George St E, Havelock.
  • Accessible Trails for All Ages
  • 100 hectares of scenic forest, peaceful wetlands & open fields
  • 10 well-marked trails (each under 1 km – perfect for short hikes!)
  • Trails upgraded in 2023 – wheelchair-friendly
  • Dog-friendly (on leash, please!)
  • Free parking at the trailhead
  • Free admission!
BIRD LOVERS, BRING YOUR BINOCULARS!
Early mornings and evenings are ideal for spotting unique local species like:
-  Red-bellied Woodpecker
-  Yellow-throated Vireo
