George St. Construction - Progress Report June 16 to June 27, 2025

QBT is now advancing across the front of the Canada Post building with the pipe work, and as shown, it is now very congested, leaving no sidewalk access to the Post Office. A pedestrian access has been established between the Real Estate office and the Bakery. Again, these are private lands which we have been allowed to use for pedestrian access to the Post Office…..NO VEHICLES.

Generally, there is ample parking on Oak Street south of George Street. 

In addition, as it is necessary for materials storage, the area immediately north of the intersection now contains some of the materials required for the work. As we continue westerly towards Oak Street the intersection of George and Oak Streets will be subject to intense construction traffic. If possible, please try to avoid this area. If you MUST travel through this intersection, please follow the directions by the traffic spotter and use extreme caution. Some delays may be encountered, particularly during material deliveries.

It is expected that the pipe work will have advanced to #4 George Street by Friday the 20th and just East of the intersection of Oak and George Streets by Friday the 27th. Please be advised that during the next two weeks this intersection will be congested with construction traffic which may cause some delays. If you can avoid the area, please do.
