July 26–28 Environment Canada is forecasting extreme heat this weekend for the County of Haliburton, City of Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland County, Peterborough County, The City of Peterborough.

- Stay hydrated – drink water often
- Use fans, AC, or cool showers
- Check in on neighbours, family, and vulnerable individuals
- NEVER leave people or pets in vehicles
Watch for signs of heat-related illness: Dizziness, nausea, headache, dark urine, rapid breathing, or confusion. Call 911 if someone is unconscious, confused, or stops sweating.
