Havelock Seniors Club Receives SALC Funding
Honourable Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility announces government funding for Havelock Seniors Club!
On Thursday March 14th, Honourable Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility announced Havelock Seniors Club is the newest Seniors Activity Living Centre (SALC) and will receive up to $65,000 in funding year-over-year. HBM Township will be committing resources to the Seniors Active Living Centre, as a requirement of the SALC program. There are only 316 SALC’s across Ontario and it’s been over 10-years since new SALC funding was awarded.
MPP Dave Smith, Ptbo Warden Bonnie Clark, Mayor Jim Martin and HBM Council, Township staff, Community Partners, and Havelock Seniors Club members were on hand to celebrate the announcement! Event attendees, including Minister Cho, enjoyed Line Dancing and Chair Yoga demonstrations, as well as other planned activities.
