HBM Township – Fall Hydrant Flushing Notice

The Public Works department will be flushing hydrants

as part of our maintenance program from:

Monday, October 20th  to Friday, October 24th 
and from 
Monday October 27th to Friday, October 31st, 2025   

During this time residents may experience discoloured water.
If this occurs, it would be advisable to refrain from doing
laundry or using hot water until it clears.

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

 

Canada Post Interruption & Bill Payment

Due to the Canada Post labour disruption, The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen will not be sending any mail, including notices and bills. Residents and vendors of the Township are still required to pay their bills on time, despite the postal disruption.

Utility and Property Tax Payments

Payments can be made via online banking (please allow 3-4 business days for us to receive your payment in office), by debit, cash or cheque during regular business hours, via credit card through Paymentus on hbmtwp.ca website, or cheques can be left in the drop box outside the Municipal Office at 1 Ottawa Street East, Havelock.

Planning Notices

Quebec Street Construction - Supplementary Progress Report - Oct. 20 to Oct. 31, 2025

With road preparation complete on Quebec Street, the base coat of asphalt is to be applied today, Friday, October 24, 2025. After which, raising the manhole frames/covers to final grade and grinding the lap joints will take place. The top lift of asphalt is scheduled to be done on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, weather permitting.

Both the grinding and paving operations will result in encroaching on Hwy 7. This will cause a minor detour on Hwy 7. This is similar to previous detour, however not as extensive. 

PLEASE use extreme caution in this area. Construction flaggers will be directing traffic, please pay close attention.
