Phase 2 - George Street Construction Progress Report Oct. 5 to 16, 2026

With the completion of George Street West and Oak Street, Phase 2, located at William Street at Hwy #7, is set to begin.

Preparations are under way, preparing the signage and bringing in materials this week. Operations will begin on the south side of Hwy #7 later in the week with the storm outfall pipe, installation of a structure, and then northerly towards Hwy #7, in preparation for crossing the highway after Thanksgiving.

It is expected that Hwy #7 will be reduced to a single lane on Tuesday October 13, 2026. Please use extreme caution and pay close attention to flag persons instructions as you proceed through the construction area. 

Hwy #7 will be reopened nightly during this operation and barreled off again in the mornings with flag persons for guidance. 

Weather permitting, the impact on Hwy #7 will be completed by Friday evening, October 16, 2026.
