Parkview Residents Support Update

PARKVIEW RESIDENT SUPPORT EFFORTS
37 George St E, Havelock (Multi-unit Fire)

All donated material items received for the displaced residents have been stored and inventoried. The township is supporting three local community organizations who are collaborating to ensure the eighteen displaced residents have access to donated items and their immediate needs met. The local volunteer groups are Havelock Centre, Havelock Lions Club - Ontario, and Havelock Seniors Club with the Havelock Centre taking the lead regarding donation coordination. Plans for longer-term needs are being formulated.

We are waiting for an individualized resident needs assessment from Peterborough Housing Corporation. Stand by for a social media post highlighting the additional 'material' items needed. People are anxious to donate financial gifts, which will be greatly appreciated but require some logistics and important safe guards, A further update on that front will be issued as soon as possible.

Please stay tuned, and once again, our shared thanks to all those who have donated and are stepping up daily to help. Our community and residents are our greatest asset and your caring spirits our greatest strength.
Thank you.
