HBM – NEW DOCTOR – ROSTERING OF NEW PATIENTS 

The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is pleased to announce Dr. Jaimee Carter as the new HBM family doctor.

Originally from Sault Ste Marie, Dr. Jaimee Carter moved to the Peterborough area for her family medicine training through Queen's University after completing medical school at McMaster University in Hamilton. She loved the area so much that after finishing her training, she decided to settle down permanently with her family in Keene. She looks forward to building positive long term relationships with her patients and is particularly interested in promoting healthy aging and active lifestyles. In her personal time, she enjoys cooking and baking for family and friends, exploring the beauty of nearby Provincial Parks, and keeping active with hockey, running, and weight lifting.

Rostering of Patients

Beginning on July 3rd, 2025, HBM staff will be reaching out to individuals on the Township’s waitlist for family doctors.  Note, that due to the large number of applicants, this will take some time.  Please be patient.

Reminder Regarding Waitlist Inquiries

HBM Township staff will reach out to residents in the follow manner:

• The first phase of recruitment will focus on unattached patients.
• The second phase of recruitment will focus on patients who currently have a doctor at a distance    greater than 100 kilometres but would like to switch and have a doctor closer to home. 
• The final phase of recruitment will focus on any patient who wishes to switch doctors.

Please refrain from calling the Asphodel-Norwood Medical Centre with inquiries.  Rest assured, you will be contacted by HBM staff when it is your turn to be rostered.

If you are unsure about whether you are on the list, please complete application form found on the Township’s website.  HBM staff will check the list and confirm.
