Crowe Valley Conservation - FLOOD WARNING - April 17, 2026

SUBJECT: FLOOD WARNING- issued for all lakes and rivers within the watershed jurisdiction of Crowe Valley Conservation.

ISSUED TO: Municipalities, water management authorities, Indigenous
communities, Ministry of Natural Resources and Crowe Valley Conservation’s other partners in flood emergency management.

WEATHER: Recent and forecasted warm temperatures combined with rainfall are driving rain/snowmelt runoff.

FLOOD RISK: Continued rising water levels and increased flows are anticipated on lakes, rivers and their tributaries including low-lying flood-prone areas along Beaver Creek, North River, Crowe River and it’s tributaries.

ACTION: Stay away from shorelines, dams, weirs, hydro generating stations and bridges as high water levels and flows create dangerous conditions. Residents along local watercourses, especially those located in low-lying areas, are advised to monitor weather forecasts, watch for rising water levels, and take action to protect themselves and their property from flooding. Unsafe conditions will persist on and around all area watercourses, including unstable banks, extremely cold water and fast and turbulent flows. Residents are reminded not to drive through flooded areas. Stay informed by monitoring weather updates and water levels.

Crowe Valley Conservation will continue to monitor levels and flows conditions and issue updates as required. This FLOOD WARNING will expire at 3:00 pm, April 23, 2026 unless updated earlier.
