Congratulations to HBM’s Elmer Buchanan, E.C.O.
Elmer was nominated by the Peterborough County Federation of Agriculture and was inducted into the Peterborough County Agricultural Wall of Fame on Sunday August 23, 2026.
As found on the Peterborough County Agricultural Wall of Fame website:
A lifelong farmer, educator, public servant, and advocate for rural communities. Former Ontario
Minister of Agriculture and Food who worked to achieve accreditation and stabilized funding for
Ontario’s farm organizations. Active in the provincial horse racing commission, Farmers’ Markets Ontario, the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission, and the Federation of Agriculture.
