Employment Opportunity: Finance Assistant - Customer Service
Status: Full Time Permanent
Hourly Wage: $27.34 - $31.69

The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Finance Assistant-Customer Service.
Reporting to the Deputy Treasurer, this position on a daily basis will conduct telephone and front counter reception duties related to Township business, respond to resident inquiries in a courteous and timely manner as well as provide administrative support to various departments.
Responsibilities include receiving payments and providing receipts for Township services, issuing waste disposal tags and dog licenses, assisting residents with completing Township forms, maintaining all necessary records as required and referring complex concerns or requests to appropriate departments. Additional tasks include processing cash receipts and preparing bank deposits, processing ownership and address changes, preparing tax certificates and zoning/work order requests, maintaining waste site control records and supplies, ordering and maintaining office supplies and updating the Township’s website.
The successful candidate must have a Two (2) year Ontario Secondary School Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Two (2) years’ experience in an office setting ideally municipal or public sector would be an asset. A valid Ontario Class G drivers’ license with access to personal vehicle is mandatory.
