Public Notice for Stop Up, Closure, and Conveyance for Part of Road Allowance Being Pt Lot 19, Between Concessions 3 and 4, Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen

Take Notice the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen has declared that portion of the unopened road allowance between Concessions 3 and 4 adjacent to 149 FR 23 in the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, County of Peterborough, to be surplus.

Take Further Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen proposes to enact a By-Law to stop-up, close and convey that portion of the road allowance adjacent to the property having civic address of 149 Fire Route 23A, described as all and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, in the County of Peterborough and being composed of the following:

Location: Part of road allowance, adjacent to 149 FR 23A, Part Lot 19 between Concessions 3 and 4.

A Key Map and Survey showing the lands to which this stop up, closure, and conveyance applies to is provided with this notice.

The proposed By-Law will come before Council for consideration at its regular meeting at the Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Municipal Office, 1 Ottawa Street East, Havelock, on Tuesday May 19^th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. and at that time, the Council will hear in person or by his/her counsel, solicitor or agent any person who claims that his/her land will be prejudicially affected and who applies to be heard.  Any person who wishes to be heard by Council regarding this proposed closure must contact the Clerk to schedule a delegation with Council.
