Brett Funeral Chapels
20 George St W, Havelock, Ontario Canada
In a 1913 Havelock Standard Article, W. T. Curtis has a gang of men employed in excavating working on the lot on the corner of George Street West and Quebec Street in Havelock. This 2-storey building would become location of the local funeral home, know known as Brett Funeral Chapels Ltd. In 1986, the Hastings Chapel was built and served its first family in September of that year. Hugh and Dena McPhail purchased the locations in 1998. Their son in law Robert Edwards, with his wife Amanda joined the business in 2010 and currently manages and runs the operations of both chapels with over 24 years experience. Also employed is licenced funeral director Emma Klompmaker. While the funeral industry has changed over the years, as a family owned and operated funeral provider, we continue to serve families with the same care and compassion they need. From a full traditional casket burial, to a simple, no service cremation, we can coordinate and provide everything that may be needed at a difficult time. Appointments available outside of regular hours. At Need service available 24/7, 365 days a year.
